ideal location of the hotel immediately on arrival in the restaurant. everything was really good, though a few employees were indifferent. appreciated our room, it was tastefully decorated and brand-new with an iron and a dressing table.
It had not so good views.

It was a good stay during my visit. The staff were attentive and active, everything was fine. The location was central, really close to other areas of the building, the English bridge, the centre of town. Had supper enjoying drinks at nearby Cromwell's Inn.

Unique charm from its historic architecture, with character in every corner. The decor feels intentionally cozy and cute.
Parking is a real issue. While claimed to be free, it's limited and gets snatched up fast, forcing us to find an alternative. The narrow entrance to the car park can be a real puzzle for anyone with a wider vehicle. My room had a snug bathroom that felt a bit cramped-something I expect from a historic building but still not ideal. Noise from the bustling street outside was bothersome at times, even with earplugs provided. Requesting a room towards the back looks to be a smarter move.

The breakfast selection was really good with ample choices.
The tv was outdated, too small for the room size.

Excellent Menu and food at every meal. Chef is of 5 star standard. A very friendly efficiently run hotel -by staff who operate to a very high standard and for once -in this day and age- there are plenty of them! You always felt that you were being looked after in a very easy going though thoroughly professional manner. The bed was fantastic! So comfortable! We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as one of the best we have stayed in on a short stay-we shall visit again!
Some road noise if you have a room at the front and the bath waste system was a bit fiddly. Certainly not enough to stop us staying again.

comfortable beds excellent breakfasts generally good sevice the young person in our party thought it was lovely
too many stairs and no lift no sewing kit ...asked at reception for needle and thread- suggested to go to ASDA- in the pouring rain in my evening wear no facecloths free slippers- who needs those? rather have a facecloth and a sewing kit! advertises free parking; not enough- we booked 3 rooms and had 1 car- we had to get staff to move their cars each time to get a parking place

The staff were wonderful and accommodating, our family felt at home. Our Beautiful Double Room had a beautiful view of the River Severn. We also had a lovely breakfast that catered to everyone's tastes.
My wife says that the parking situation was frustrating for our large family. It would be great to have designated parking spots for families, as navigating tight spaces with kids can be quite challenging.

Everything about this hotel is too good for words to describe. The staff, without exception are so friendly and so professional. They just put you at ease. The food in the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) is superb. The rooms are well decorated, clean and comfortable.
